Oh, this total makes sense. MC Hammer––you know, MC HAMMER––has just announced he is getting into the search engine game with a new Google competitor named WireDoo. The whole thing is still “currently in pre-Beta” and appears to be sign-up only. Hammer, who is actually named Stanley Burrell, announced WireDoo this past Wednesday at San Francisco’s nerdy-sounding Web 2.0 conference.
WireDoo apparently offers deeper “search ability [which is] about relationships beyond just the keywords.” That’s cool. “Search once and see what’s related” is the engine’s tagline. No report yet if the site’s error message will read “can’t search this.” (I can’t take full credit for that joke, but it’s definitely worth stealing.)
