Michal Menert, Gramatik, Paper Diamond, and Break Science. For any electronic music fan, you know these names as some of the best in the game, today’s top tier producers. And what do they all have in common? Pretty Lights. The man, the myth, the legend Derek Vincent Smith carefully selects the best of the best to take under his wing and give their albums the PL seal of approval. The newest artist’s to join the club are Colorado’s SuperVision and Paul Basic. Both of their EPs dropped today, and I’ll tell ya, it is damn fine music. You’re going to want to download these.

To build hype for his upcoming album, the Colorado based producer Michal Menert is dropping weekly cuts that didn’t make it on to the finished record. However, if the unworthy tracks have the quality that this weeks release, “Lemme Tell You Now”, does, I can’t imagine what the album will sound like. The light, but absurdly quick drumming provides a perfect contradiction to the mood of his sampling, and the wobble that floats in and out during in the latter half gives “Lemme Tell You Know” a borderline addictive sound. Pretty Lights’ sidekick is certainly on his way to gaining a following like his mentor with tracks like this. Check out “Lemme Tell You Now” below and look for more weekly tracks from Michal Menert in the near future.
