2014 has been a wild year thus far for Nelson, NZ brother-sister duo Broods. Just in the past 8 months, Caleb and Georgia Nott have successfully distinguished themselves as one of the most celebrated young bands to emerge out of New Zealand’s thriving contemporary musical landscape. After selling out shows in the US, Canada, UK and Australia, as well as supporting bands such as CHVRCHES, Haim, and Ellie Goulding, Broods are on their way to stardom. The future for the Kiwi duo is even brighter as they are about to embark on a tour with the magical Sam Smith and release their debut album ‘Evergreen’ (out Oct. 7th in the US) that was crafted by Grammy-winning producer Joel Little who also produced Lorde’s ‘Pure Heroine’.
I had the amazing opportunity of sitting down with Broods before their show in Melbourne, AUS on July 30th. Caleb and Georgia talk life on tour, their musical upbringing, Neil Diamond, and MUCH more. Below is the entire interview on film.
