I was lucky enough to get to go to the Pitchfork Music Festival last summer. It was a really, really great time. Everyone there was so Pitchforked out that it wasn’t even annoying, if that makes any sense? It was just nice. And the lineup lineup was amazing, too: LCD Soundsystem, Pavement, Panda Bear, Major Lazer, Big Boi, Raekwon, etc., etc. And this year, well, the lineup is even better. And don’t just take my word for it. Below is the just-released-today lineup of the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival. It’s pretty amazing.
Friday, July 15
Saturday, July 16
The Dismemberment Plan
Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti
Sunday, July 17
TV on the Radio
Destroyer! Animal Collective! The Odd Future crew! Curren$y! Ariel Pink! James Blake! Deerhunter! All the rest! And more will be announced soon!
The three-day festival is July 15, 16, and 17 and takes over Chicago’s nice n’ low-key Union Park. Tickets are on sale now. One-day passes at $45; three-day passes are $110 (that’s a no-brainer). Buy them NOW (here or here; more details at Pitchfork).
