Google Becomes Bigger, Launches Google Music
The cloud is now certainly upon us. Google now has its foot firmly in the online streaming music door: Google Music is here. Coming just six months after Beta Music by Google, Google Music is linked to their online mp3 store and cloud storage service. Drake apparently played the launch party. Access it here here! Man, Google.
To me, Google Music seems unnecessary and uncharacteristically clunky by Google’s generally sleek standards. But, I guess it’s just another point of entry in the future of music. And, honestly, there do seem to be some solid features. Google+ (anyone actually use that?) users can share a free play of their purchased on songs with their (Google+) friends; there’s this thing where independent artists can sell their music directly; and, so far, Warner Music Group is the only major label not yet on the site’s mp3 store. Pros cons, pros cons.
